PROFILE

Mark Smith has a wide and varied background, having worked in both private practice and for major contracting organisations as a chartered surveyor, prior to being called to the Bar in 1995 and subsequently admitted as a solicitor.

Mark has acted for a wide range of clients, comprising employers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and funders.

Prior to joining Systech Solicitors, Mark had joint responsibility for Knowles Limited within the UK. He currently occupies the position of Deputy Managing Director of Systech Solicitors.

KEY STRENGTHS

Mark is experienced in the provision of contractual advice and in the drafting, analysis and negotiation of contract documentation. He lectures on construction law and acts / advises in relation to arbitration and adjudication proceedings.
