Aims of the course:
This seminar will be the first in a series of four events we will be holding over the coming months that will cover typical problems and issues which arise during the life of a project.
The topics are of general application and will be of particular interest to contractors undertaking work under UK contracts.
This event is being held in conjunction with the Construction Industry Federation.
Topics covered:
- Letters of intent – what are the dangers?
- Do I have a contract? The “battle of the forms” and
- the impact of the new UK legislation
- Mitigating risk
- Programmes – contract compliance
For the first in the series we will be speaking about issues at the front end of a project – when it is essential that the correct decisions are made to ensure that the project gets off to a good start. During the seminar we will look at:
Subsequent seminars in our series will look at issues during the execution phase of a project and what to do if a dispute arises.
