Ronan Speers is a Solicitor and Director of SLS based at its London office. He has over 20 years legal experience and prior to joining SLS he worked in private practice and more recently headed up a specialist legal consultancy providing services to the construction and allied sectors.
Ronan has a mix of contentious and non contentious experience which he has acquired acting for clients engaged in building, energy, communications, specialist electronics, civil engineering, oil and gas, transport infrastructure, water treatment, education and health projects. Those clients include leading funders, developers, international joint ventures, contractors and specialist professionals based in the Far East, Middle East and Europe.
Ronan's contentious experience includes representation at all court levels, expert determinations, conciliation, adjudication, arbitration and mediation. He is a pragmatic dispute resolution expert and well used to working in tandem with other construction professionals to achieve strategic goals. On the non-contentious side Ronan has acted for clients at all levels within the contract chain on both public and privately funded projects in the UK and internationally.
